A Message from our Director

Vicken P. Sepilian, M.D., M.M.S., F.A.C.O.G., REI

Dr. Vicken P. Sepilian is a fellowship trained Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility specialist. After completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia he attended the University of Texas Medical Branch for his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Sepilian has been recognized for his outstanding clinical and surgical patient care, for which he has received numerous awards. While at the University of Texas, Dr. Sepilian helped establish the university's successful in-vitro fertilization program. Dr. Sepilian also received a master's degree in Reproductive Sciences and has been active in research pertaining to minimally invasive surgery, ectopic pregnancy, abnormalities of ovulation, polycystic ovary syndrome, and infertility. He has published extensively and has presented his findings in numerous national and international conferences.

Dr. Sepilian has helped couples with infertility from all over the world and his compassionate and individualized approach towards patient care and his cutting edge knowledge of infertility has received much praise from his patients.

Simon (SeungWook) Hong

Embryologist

Simon Hong received his master's degree in animal sciences in 1991 and has been in the field of embryology for over 12 years. He joined the prestigious CHA Fertility Center in Seoul, Korea in 1995 and was transferred to Los Angeles to head the embryology division of our fertility center in 2001 after being one of the top embryologists in South Korea. Simon currently serves as our Senior Embryologist and Laboratory Manager.

Simon has a passion for the field of reproductive medicine. His knowledge of embryology and his meticulous nature have been instrumental in the success of our IVF program. His special interests are in the field of cryopresevation and he has been involved in groundbreaking research involving "vitrification," which is the method used to freeze oocytes (eggs) and embryos. Findings from his research projects have been presented at both national and international conferences. It is important to note the importance of embryology in the field of reproductive medicine. We are extremely fortunate to have Simon on our team managing the embryology laboratory.

On a lighter note, Simon is a pleasant gentleman with a great sense of humor. He is an avid swimmer and loves spending time with his wife and two children.



Julie (Jeung) Ha

Andrologist

Julie Ha has been a part of the CHA Fertility Center since 1993 beginning her career in Seoul, Korea and then relocating to Los Angeles. Julie is a clinical laboratory scientist and andrologist.

Presently, Julie is in charge of our andrology and endocrinology laboratories, including but not limited to semen analysis, hormonal testing, and preparing the specimens for artificial insemination and cryopreservation.

Julie has been instrumental in the laboratories recertification each year by CLIA Julie is our "quite" and "sweet" member of our growing family and has a great sense of humor. She has a passion for the field of reproductive medicine, and we are fortunate to have her on our team.



Kelly (KYUNG) R. Lee
Sr. Clinical Coordinator

 

Andrologist

Kelly (Kyung) Lee has been with the Cha Fertility system since 1993. She joined CHA Fertility center in Los Angeles in 2001 as an andrologist and IVF patient coordinator. Currently Kelly is our senior clinical coordinator and a part of our andrology team. She is fluent in Korean, Japanese and English.

We are fortunate to have Kelly as a member of our family. Her compassionate nature helps many patients through the often complex processes of infertility workup and management. Kelly is an avid golfer and enjoys yoga and working out at the health club.




Ana Ramirez

Sr. Certified Medical Assistant

Ana Ramirez began her career at CHA Fertility Center in 2002, and is currently our Senior Certified Medical Assistant and Clinical Coordinator. She is fluent in Spanish and is phlebotomy and CPR certified.

Ana is a warm and friendly individual and worked extremely hard over the past five years learning all aspects of reproductive medicine in order to help her patients further understand the process of their treatment. She attends various seminars within the field of infertility to keep current with any and all changes in the field. Ana assists our embryologist in collecting all statistical data throughout the year to report our statistics to SART (Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology).

She has two children and a feisty dog named "Angie" enjoying family time and good music, and a great asset to our team.




Tagui (Tina) Sarkisyan

Tina is a graduate of the University of Southern California where she received dual degrees in biology and psychology. She joined the CHA Fertility Center in 2005 and has been a valuable addition to our team. She has a warm and sensitive nature, and she currently serves as a patient coordinator and research coordinator.

Tina's background in the biology and psychology enables her to have a solid understanding of the scientific and psychological aspects of infertility. Armed with this understanding, Tina is able to deliver superior care to our patients.

In her spare time, Tina is very active in the community and enjoys swimming and spending time with her family.
